Paulette
Guillaume Bardet’s "multi-focus" workshop
The cellar
La Grande Épicerie de Paris 2008.
Paulette derives from the encounter between the bottle holder and the baroque crystal chandelier ceiling light. Treating bottles as an ornamental object, I pictured their distribution inside the basement space. It is a space self-multiplying instance, from global to local: the "multi-focus".
The object I’m offering allows, through its reproducibility, to fill and decorate space and to create a genuine Dionysian landscape. That environment is constantly remodeled by the beverage enthusiast; while removing bottles he plucks the leafs of Paulette.
