Flow.

“Ainsi fond font fontes”
PTP industry prize
In collaboration with Bazil de Pourtalès
2009.

Our approach is two-fold. On  one hand, represent the process of formatting the font in the subject: casting. In a second step, we considered thearchetypes of street furniture.
Molding mound provides about all forms. It seemed so easy to cast out of his repertoire heavy crude and industrial. So we designed free forms, liquid and air, only to turn this matter into "flying carpet" garden. For the sublime we seem obvious to divert codes and prejudices. Wood is the structuring element and melting becomes the seat.
Flow comes from the encounter between a puddle of melting, and a log of wood.
This formal meeting, we had to rise to objects. Logic would have dictated that we propose a-objects urban typology. However it seemed harder to embody this idea in a bench, a chair and a stool. In flow objects are indeed typological, butdoes not form a way of sitting.
Flow has three elements that enable the re-appropriation of the territory: theyintrude into the landscape outside and inside with the plasticity of form. They have, however, the qualitative richness of this beautiful material that is thecontemporary cast.
